Plain English summary: Use Meridian Intel for lawful purposes. Don't upload illegal content. Don't try to reverse-engineer our systems. Pay for what you use. We provide the platform in good faith — you're responsible for verifying outputs before making critical decisions.
By accessing or using Meridian Intel ("the Platform"), operated by Mazal Arc ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform.
These Terms apply to all users including free (Ephemeral) users, paid subscribers, and enterprise (Enclave) clients. Enterprise clients may have additional terms in a separate agreement which supersede these Terms where they conflict.
Meridian Intel is a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) platform that allows users to upload documents and query them using natural language. The Platform provides:
The Platform operates across five tiers: Ephemeral (Free), Segment, Lattice, Vector, and Enclave (Enterprise). Features and limits vary by tier as described on the pricing page.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Meridian Intel. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that:
Access to the Platform requires identity verification via a one-time email code sent to your registered address. You agree to provide an accurate email address during access requests and to keep your session credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your verified session.
Platform owner/administrative access is protected by a server-side verified access code and JWT. Attempts to circumvent, brute-force, or reverse-engineer owner authentication are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination and legal action.
You must notify us immediately at support@meridianintel.app if you become aware of any unauthorized access to your account. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized account access that occurs through no fault of ours.

Current prices listed above are pilot prices, available during Meridian Intel's validation phase (the first ten paying customers). Pilot prices are not permanent and will increase for new customers once the validation phase ends. Mazal Arc reserves the right to change pricing at any time with 30 days written notice to existing subscribers.
Price lock commitment: Customers who subscribe during the pilot phase are locked in at their signup price for a minimum of 12 months from their subscription start date, regardless of any general price increases during that period. After 12 months, pricing will move to the then-current rate with 30 days advance notice.
Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. We never store your payment card details.
Tier upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to your current tier's features until the downgrade date.
You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting support@meridianintel.app. Access continues until the end of the paid period. No refunds are issued for partial months except where required by applicable law.
If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry the charge. If payment cannot be collected within 7 days, your account will be downgraded to Ephemeral tier and your stored document chunks may be deleted after 30 days notice.
You agree not to use the Platform to:
You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of the Platform complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to GDPR, HIPAA, FDA regulations for pharmaceutical data, and financial industry regulations for financial documents.
Important: Meridian Intel is a retrieval and generation tool. It is not a licensed medical device, legal advisor, financial advisor, or regulatory compliance system. Outputs must be reviewed by qualified professionals before being used in regulated environments.
You retain full ownership of all documents you upload to the Platform. By uploading a document, you grant Mazal Arc a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, chunk, embed, and store the document content solely for the purpose of providing the Platform services to you.
You represent and warrant that:
You may delete your uploaded documents and associated chunks at any time via the Platform interface or by contacting support. Deletion from our systems is completed within 30 days of your request, except where retention is required by law.
Zero-hallucination architecture: Meridian Intel extracts answers verbatim from your uploaded document content by default — exact words and phrases, not paraphrases. Every fact is cited with its source page and chunk reference. If no relevant content is retrieved, the system will say so rather than generating a response from general knowledge. Users can request simplified explanations explicitly, in which case the system paraphrases while still grounding every claim in the document.
Despite our zero-hallucination architecture, you acknowledge that:
Mazal Arc is not liable for decisions made based on Platform outputs without appropriate professional verification.
The Platform, including its OCaml gateway, FastAPI ML worker, chunking algorithms, retrieval logic, PII scrubbing system, evaluation framework, frontend design, and all associated documentation, is the exclusive intellectual property of Mazal Arc. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to our proprietary technology.
Your uploaded documents and the query outputs generated from them remain your property. We claim no ownership over your content or the responses the Platform generates from it.
If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Platform (including via the thumbs up/down system or support tickets), you grant Mazal Arc a perpetual, royalty-free right to use that feedback to improve the Platform without compensation to you.
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Platform. Planned maintenance, infrastructure issues, or force majeure events may cause downtime. Enclave enterprise clients receive uptime SLA commitments under separate contract terms.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MAZAL ARC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 USD if you are an Ephemeral (free) user.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Mazal Arc and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if:
Upon termination, your access to the Platform ceases immediately. Your stored document chunks will be deleted within 30 days. Sections 7 (ownership), 9 (IP), 10 (disclaimers), 11 (indemnification), and 13 (disputes) survive termination.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation by emailing support@meridianintel.app.
If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days, both parties agree to binding arbitration before a mutually agreed arbitrator. Class action waiver: you agree to resolve disputes individually and not as part of a class action.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify registered users by email at least 14 days before changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you must stop using the Platform and may request account deletion.
